What is On Site?

Search Engine Optimization strategy can be broken down into two main categories, on site optimization and off site optimization. Off site optimization consists of article submissions, directory submissions, link building, social bookmarking, and site promotion. On-site search engine optimization includes making adjustments or additions to content that resides within the structure of the target website itself.  Think of on site SEO as the addition of a neon “Open” sign to the inside of a store window. On Site optimization is useful for attracting consumers that are close by (on a SERP) or otherwise standing outside your store front door. While off site SEO drives traffic from far parts of the web over to your website via inbound links.
